As as I went to the Metro today I spotted what looked like an ambulance decorated with graffiti. My curiosity promoted me to go over and investigate. I was greeted by two enthusiastic young people who explained that they were doing a little outreach for their organization: Urgence Emploi. Nice concept, using the old ambulance. They were camped out close to the Metro to promote their services to young people who are looking for a job. Their free services for people between the ages of 16 and 35 include resume workshops, literacy programs, information on retraining and return to school. They help young people setting up new businesses too. They operate out of LaSalle. I loved their approach . . . And the hot chocolate looked pretty good too!
