Even when it’s raining

I know, it’s not raining

But it is windy and 14 degrees so not time to sit out yet! I am the guest of my dear friend, Masha Tkachuk up on Lac Labelle. The beauty of this few days’ stay is catching up with the news of our families and just sitting, laughing, remembering together.

Masha now lives in the U.S. so we seldom see each other. What is unique about her lovely country home is that it is part of a “ colony” of her very interesting extended family.

I love the quiet dark nights and the sight of blue jays hopping along the grass in the morning. A beautiful retreat from the city! Thanks Masha,
