Suspended

Caught in free fall

This beautiful leaf attracted my attention as I went for my walk the other day.Plenty of leaves were drifting down even though the day was very still. This one was not falling. I stopped in surprise. It spun slowly this way and that in front of my eyes.

How did it manage to escape

the fate of every autumn leaf. It may have been hanging on a spider web that I could not discern. I left it solve its own mystery!
