Back at Home

It really is a typical Montreal autumn with beautiful coloured trees

In my favorite park

I have been away for a long time in Spain. I found, for the first time, that my trip was lonely. I am used to travelling alone but this time was different. I think I will have to get back on the Camino!

Falling fast

Fortunately, à dear friend was up for a walk on Mount Royal. On the way back I noticed some of the buildings that were so familiar to me when I lived with my parents as a young girl.

In the McGill neighborhood

There are still some wonderful Victorian and Edwardian buildings sitting in the shadows of sky scrapers.

I love the turret here

My Dad worked in McGill for many years and part of his contract included on-site housing.

The side of this one

is intriguing . I can only imagine how lovely it was for just one family to live in such a mansion.

Even skyscrapers

can be made beautiful though.

I think being surrounded by beautiful and varied architecture in Madrid has opened my eyes to my own home town.
