In the wood

The water calm

And far off the mainland

Next to me on the bench

An old friend, a weathered stump

Green life too
Other textures surround me
Green holly and the sign of things to come
Life giving life
Some fluffy dog passed here!

All about texture today

The first branch is 50 ft up

And off to the coffee shop at the corner!

    So glad that the forest fires on the island seem to waning. Lovely texture dear Iso,

    Did you go out on Air Canada? Good to hear that the strike is about over.—poor souls caught up in all of that inconvenience.

    Cool here—sweater weather. And the pool construction next door —foolish folk with too much money—has died down to just the landscapers. Fingers crossed that my stately back-yard oak on the property line with the 1/3 of roots chopped off, will survive.

    Do I recall correctly that your daughter had some operation? Or did that happen a while ago?
