And my knee is much better. The weather has been summery except for a spectacular thunderstorm that cleared the air this afternoon.
I had a lovely short visit from my grandson this afternoon . He’s writing an essay in French about some family members who are now “ of blessed memory”. He has to use an unusual technique so he has chosen letters written one to the other
We were working with a classic photo of my mother’s family.

It was fun, but a bit disorienting to talk about all these people, long dead who were such vivid personalities to me( well, except for the two who died before I was born)
I have a new toy- a bird call identifier and discovered that the cardinals around my house have two very distinct songs. i went for my first walk in the park yesterday. I am very relieved that my knee which was very painful on the last days of my trip, is much better and I could do my regular walk around the lake.
There are many pink clouds above my balcony as evening closes in.

Recovering from the tender care of my younger grandson during my absence! I still miss the excitement and the beauty of the Camino. Ag well, next year!

Awaiting news from my daughter’s friend about her knee surgery today. She is kindly staying with her. I have cataract surgery next Wednesday so i hope I can put off going to help her until after that. We shall see. Day by day
