In a lane near my home – forsythia

Bleeding hearts
Eastern Redbud

This on Sunday coming out of church.

It is so wonderful to have the chance to experience two springs! When I left Spain on May 6, petals had already fallen off the blooming trees, the grass in rural areas was high and the land was lush and green.

On my return i was struck by how most of the trees are bare – only a few showing that wonderful green mist of tiny leaves that means Sprung is on its way.

Sunday was quite a sunny day and I rejoiced in the flowers coming to their peak.

Something else is blooming too! I have an offer of a contract for a book! More later!

Dear Iso, what lovely pictures and so nice you are enjoying a second spring. We have had a fascinating visit here and seen so much, far too much info. for me to retain in my ever fading brain. Just wanted to pass you on a very happy congratulations. Once we get home (tomorrow) there will be far too many things to catch up on before we return to some semblance of order and routine. So, congratulations, my baby, on the offer for the book. How sweet it is. Good for you. Now you will launch into another trajectory of your life. Is there a time limit? It would be nice to get it off your chest, or at least the preliminaries before you head out west. Talk to you later. Glad you are home safe and sound, MP
