I admit to a little “ cheating” in that we took a bus for 10 minutes and thus saved 10 km of walking.
We arrived last night in pouring rain. Our boots were dripping but fortunately there was an efficient heater so that hot sorted out!

Fortunately there was a nice dining room in the alberge so we did not have to go out in the downpour to get food. No wonder Galicia is so green!

And curious friends too

May 1 is Labour Day in Spain and it happens to be Mothers’ Day weekend too. We had not booked anything in Santiago and i was calling here and there only to be told “ complet”. Finally Dotothy found something but…. It was three upper bunks in a mixed dorm. We took it! I am presently installed up here but have yet to try go come down. My” bed “is more like a nest with phone, hat and sandals up here. We will see how the “ descent works out!

Tomorrow we will apply for our certificates and do some sightseeing. Now to try to get down from this bunk!
