At the goodbye/ hello party for the change of hospitaleras after 15 days.

No more cleaning! Mopping! Communicating in a strange mixture of languages and pantomime! Presently sitting in a very noisy cafe drinking cafe su lait and NOT eating a churro…, fried pastry that people dip into various morning drinks. I’m a brave woman , but not that brave!

This evening my friends will arrive and we will have to decide about walking the notorious Camino Invierno in very muddy conditions.
An American from Wisconsin arrived very late last night, hammered on the door until Anna and I went down( where were the four men in the building, I wonder?) turns out he is of Turkish Cypriot heritage. We had a good chat about Byzantium and today I will say goodbye to a mild and pleasant man from Bristol.
Off to the museum I go since the cloudburst had passed. The level of noise in this cafe allows me to sing happily to myself. Sometimes deafness is a gift
