We’ve had a lot of snow and more is to come tonight. People are cross because their cars are stuck in the snowbank, in garages, in parking lots. I don’t have a car and so the only think I have to worry about is walking around on poorly cleared sidewalks or marching down the middle of the road with a ( pretty dead) ear to cars behind me. It’s beautiful though. Perhaps the few ducks who have managed to find some free water under the bridge might disagree.

It’s very boring to write about the weather but Canadians can’t avoid that. Other years I ran off to Mexico or to Spain and last year swore I would never stay a whole winter here again. Somehow I’ve managed to get through to mid February and Spain beckons for springtime. Still, the changing light in afternoon and evening is special in its own way.

Amazing to think this will all be green before long
The moon is wonderful now too – the snow moon !
