Just when you think you’re winding down… having walked a good stretch, Katy proposes a little trip!
I rather disgraced myself by getting lost as I tried to use google maps to drop in on the very charming cafe where she works.

It seems Google Maps had not quite kept up with the mini building boom on the slopes of the town. It told me for quite some time that I was 2 mins, 3mins, 6 mins from my destination and finally in some exasperation I asked a young passer-by if she could direct me. A beautiful young lady simply took me by the hand and led me up a vertiginous hill and a flight of steps which appeared to be in someone’s garden until we emerged and there we were! I offered to buy Anna a coffee but , “ Thanks but I have to go to the market. I have to cook for my husband”
Katy fed me a delicious lunch of fish. The cats of the neighborhood cleaned up

Meow, lunchtime at Katy’s
Time for a little walk around the lagoon where the residents ducks and geese were tidying up readying for nesting time.

When we had pretty well done our 10 k steps for the day, Katy proposed a “ little drive”.Mount Ainos here we come! it’s the peak of the island at 1628 metres.

Very happy to be here when there are virtually no other visitors. Apparently the place is packed in summer!
We drove up hairpin bends and saw about three cars the whole trip until we came to this!

I am told we will go to the island of Odysseus on the weekend.
