Autumn in the Neighborhood

Clouds in the park

Autumn is such a puzzle. It’s so beautiful and the temperature is just right but we know it doesn’t have a future. It’s perfect for the “ live the day” set.

Our resident heron

I wonder what he’s waiting for and where he will go when all the other birds leave. The Canada geese are still hanging around doing a few test flights now and then. There’s a white heron in our park too. Are they a pair I wonder? Although my shots make it look like our park is very bucolic, it’s in the middle of a very busy area. There are three big boulevards within a kilometre and the Metro terminus is 200 meters from where he’s standing right now.

I posted a picture of blossoms

on this tree in Spring. I wish the squirrels that dig up my flower boxes every day would just hop over to this tree!

Do I detect the hand of man?
