Getting to Vancouver Island

Coming in to Vancouver city you start to believe about Canada being the land of the Rockies. There really are snow-capped mountains
Straight Islands

After a long wait we took a little 35- seater to Comox on Vancouver Island where my dear daughter picked me up.

Going to the beach

It looks green and lush but the Island is in the throes of a drought. This island is designated a pacific RainForest. No rain has fallen since May 2. That makes three months with no rain and above normal temperatures.

Seen around town

I am at the beach where my daughter will go paddle boarding as soon as her friend shows up.

My kind of beach!

Is it normal to pray for rain?
