Writing under a Montreal sky

I always loved these grasses

Today began well and stayed that way, calm with a lovely walk up to the castle and even a bit if poking around in the weekly market. Well you can’t beat 1 euro for a very nice top.

I bought socks here

The vendor who was packing up ran after me to give me 10 cents of change!

A light lunch!

I have totally given up any efforts at cooking Two Italians and a guy from Valencia have me beat. I just wash and tidy up.

Fancy kid carry bikes
From Quebec no less!

From Verdun and to top it off, the dad’s sister works in the same hospital as my daughter on Vancouver island! The two little girls were charming. I taught them to make daisy chains and I have friends for life.

Perhaps best of all

I have an English student! He is a very cultured and loved priest in the town and just after I met him he asked if he could come to practice his English. Father Gregory is an apt pupil who, like many others, shakes his head at the vagaries of our language. It makes for a lovely wind down at the end of the afternoon!

Can’t resist! Desert

What a pleasant day! Such a nice variety of events! Little girls from Canada, a retired priest, no need to cook, and new socks! Great!
