I have not written much lately. We had crazy snowstorms but I have become aware that a lot of my posts talk about the weather. Yes, it’s a Canadian thing and writing about nature in Canada means ….writing about the weather.
The other things that have been preoccupying me are the dizzying statements and denials coming out of Trump’s government. How much time, money, energy, thought must be applied to the unstable and uninformed President of the United States? A tiresome liar who loves to create chaos. A narcissist with a lot of power! He is a stone in the shoe of our nation.
It is inconvenient that our Prime Minister basically was forced to resign just as these storm clouds were forming. So, as a card carrying Libéral I wanted to cast my vote for the next leader of the party. The leader of the Conservative party is a Trump wannabe for whom I could never vote so having a say in who will lead the party I hope will lead this country. It was a bit of a convoluted procedure ( good in terms of security, I suppose) and now – success! The winner will be announced.
Even as I write, the famous tariffs are being cut, changed, eliminated for the whole auto industry.
Well, I did it and we will know the results in a few days. Watch this space!!
