Writing under a Montreal sky

The little stream quite frozen

Not a bird to be seen! On my way to the Metro as I walk gingerly over packed snow and ice, it’s marvellous to see the clear sky. It’s what my mother would call “ a real Québec winter” with plenty of cold, a decent few snowfalls and the stream under the little bridge.

I’ve been busy writing and going to Spanish class and giving Museum tours. I wrote a ghost story that I rather like and even sent it out. It’s a novella, almost 50 K words. My “ beta” reader said it was just the right length.

Planning the trip to Spain keeps me going with the training visits to the gym so I’ll be able to walk far enough. The Camino Invierno is solitary and some stages are a bit long. Good thing I’ll have two others to walk with me this time. Good old Brierly, may he haunt us, gives me lots to research.

Las Medusa’s

The Romans flushed out gold from those mountains. I’m looking forward to it. Two weeks hospitalera in Ponferrada first and then about 16 days of walking. That’s a lovely thing to look forward too. I’m very lucky.

When are you going back to Spain? I’m trying to sort out some foot issues so I can go again. Thinking of you. Sent from my iPhone
