I’m a very early riser. That’s not always good but a couple of days ago I was able to track a beautiful sunrise.

Today, after a night of snow, things look quite different.

are a lacy pattern of snow. I think I’ll dig out a bag of birdseed and go offer some breakfast to the birds in the park.
Looking at these pictures made me consider how things that are everyday, familiar sights can change radically. Then our reaction changes too. This can trigger new thoughts, actions. As I worried about the birds, I spared a thought for whoever lives in the tent at the entrance to my beloved park. Why aren’t I bringing a thermos of soup, even a couple of bucks to this person? Birds are so much safer than people.
