I wasn’t quite sure. I had to wait a few minutes there at the door of the local banal shopping centre. People were coming and going and nobody paid the least attention.
It got bigger and brighter and just streaked across the sky. I had to step out from the doorway to keep it in view and at last a few young people followed my gaze and were blessed with the sight of the long, pale tail of the comet flying away
The comet is going to disappear in a day or two. For me though, those few moments were magic and such a privilege. I’ll never forget it.
