Taking my own advice

Yesterday close to the river

I went to take care of my mother’s grave yesterday. As she used to scrupulously wash her face before bed, I washed the gravestone.

The rose is doing very well

And the box bush needs cutting back. I planted some hollyhocks and we will see if they come up .

On the way down the mountain saw some wonderful chestnut trees in bloom.

Different to blossoms one usually sees

Although I was hot and tired from a lot of walking, I accepted a late invitation to visit the rapids near my home and was rewarded with the sight of a still blooming apple tree.

And the gentle daisies that I only ever see in the cemetery

Summer coming in!

    How blessed we are to be surrounded by such beauty ! No matter what is going on in this topsy turvy world of ours, nature keeps plugging along, and allowing us to take comfort in its humble beauty !
