Writing under a Montreal sky

I have owned this plant for a long time. A plumeria, native of Hawaii, it liked heat, sun, humidity, all of which it can sometimes find in Montreal.

Promise of a flower

She is shy though and fussy. One cool night, a storm, a loud clap of thunder and she changes her mind

But she didn’t changer her mind

Even though we had all the conditions she hates

Almost there

Just imagine that in Hawaii they make leis with the hundreds and hundreds of flowers that bloom there.

It’s fine. I’m just happy mine did bloom and there are more to come.

In the first picture are there signs of aphids or some other tiny sap suckers around the buds?

Yes, it is a lovely plant.

    Bon voyage—write soon.

Yes! My gardening friend. I zapped them with soapy water and the other “ buds” look ok!
